Strawberries with balsamic vinegar

Ingredients:

Strawberries - 500 g
Sugar - 2 tbsp.
Balsamic vinegar - 1 tbsp.
Preparation:

Wash the strawberries under running water and dry on a paper towel.
Transfer the strawberries to a large bowl.
In a small saucepan, mix together the balsamic vinegar and sugar.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
Pour the balsamic vinegar over the strawberries and stir gently.
Leave for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the strawberries to soak up the sauce.
